At Neuro Rehab Nutrition, we supported Client B, a woman in her late 30s with a severe brain injury, coeliac disease, and visual impairment, through a highly complex neurorehabilitation journey. When we began in May 2023, she weighed 112 kg and faced significant barriers to independent eating due to cognitive, sensory, and mobility challenges. Working closely with her and her multidisciplinary team, we developed a coeliac-safe, nutrient-rich plan tailored to her neurological and emotional needs. Over 20 months, she lost 17 kg (15% of her body weight), resulting in improved mobility, balance, confidence, and daily independence.

Our specialist dietitians led interventions that addressed metabolic risk, emotional eating, portion control, and nutrient deficiencies—while training her care team to support consistency and safety. Visual adaptations, routine-building, and emotionally attuned care helped rebuild mealtime autonomy and reduce anxiety.
